I am pleased to share my intention to run for a seat on the CVUSD school board this November. With nearly 40 years of combined experience working as a teacher, school counselor and basketball coach, I believe I will bring relevant and valuable experience and perspective to the school board that will benefit students, teachers, parents and other stakeholders.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- Former elementary and middle school and high school teacher and basketball ball coach with 18 combined years experience
- Retired school counselor with more than 19 years work experience
- As a district Special Ed Counselor, wrote, developed IEP social and emotional counseling goals, and counseled students in more than 24 schools each week

- Volunteered Counseling students and families at District’s Break Through Counseling Center
- Current vice chair of the District Bond I Oversight Committee

IN THE DISTRICT
For more than four years now, I’ve been volunteering within the district to make a positive impact for our students. In order to have a better understanding of what needs can be addressed, as well as what excellent school benefits the schools in our district provide, I make an effort to tour school campuses as well as visit parent information nights. I also volunteered counseling students and parents at CVUSD’s Break Through Counseling Center.
